Do you have a dream that you are awaiting to fulfill? Or are you  consistently struggling to achieve a goal? Do you feel like you are making no progress despite all your hard work like you are spinning in a circle?   If you answered yes to these three questions, then this blog is for you!

The Journey to Success is not easy, believe me!  I have struggled and jumped over so many hurdles to get where I am in life. My learning disability is my strength, not my weakness. There is a stigma that those with special needs are weak and limited to their ability. I want to let you know there are #nolimits to what we can achieve!

Join me on this journey to success! I want to share with you, my personal stories of inspiration and motivation that helped me to overcome the challenges I have faced. Your special needs may be different than mine but you do not have to overcome the challenges alone. We are on this journey together!

Rough Start Strong Finish

FAlse: Usain Bolt made it to the Olympics four times in his career. His first Olympic appearance was in 2004 at the Athens Olympics representing Jamaica. Sadly due to an injury in the 200 m he finished in the last place not qualifying to advance to further round.

While there are many competitions in the world, many athletes spend four years training for the moment to be able to represent their country at the Olympics. It is not always an easy journey.  Despite the countless hours of hard work and training, it requires great strength, discipline and most importantly having a positive attitude. Can you imagine if Bolt decided to give up after his 2004 Olympic experience? The real golden story is despite having a rough start, he always finishes strong and so can you.

This September many students are looking to make a fresh new start. New classes and a new school year means new race. Regardless of how you finished last year or if you get off to a rough start it is never too late to finish strong. Here are a few tips to help you get back to success this school year and finish strong.

“The phoenix must burn to emerge”- Janet Fitch.

How you finished last year, it is not the final outcome. With a new school year approaching, many students are gearing up to head back to the classroom and back to routines. This can be a challenging time for some students entering a new school, being away from home or simply not wanting to repeat the same mistakes as the previous year. In order to go back to school with success keep these tips in mind all year to help you finish strong.

Keep distractions minimal and focus on your goals

You can’t move forward if you are consistently looking back. Dwelling on mistakes, or loses does will not help you to win. It is through our mistakes that people learn. Reflect back on what could have been done better, correct your mistake and take action and move on.

Stay Focus and Discipline

Do not ever take your eyes off the prize. Society has become a noisy place and there are many distractions that can hinder successful outcomes. Stay focus and committed to your goals. The finish line is in front of you.

Never Give Up

As long as you keep running you will never lose

Learning is a gradual process, do not expect to always be correct or perfect on the first attempt. (Remember not even the world’s fastest man won gold in his first Olympic race) Learning is a process which will require patience and practice.  As long as you keep trying you will always be moving forward.

Back to school season is a great time of the year, it means new beginnings. Wherever you are on your journey I want to help you excel to success, there are #NoLimits to what you can achieve. Let’s finish this race strong and get off to a great start!
