Do you have a dream that you are awaiting to fulfill? Or are you  consistently struggling to achieve a goal? Do you feel like you are making no progress despite all your hard work like you are spinning in a circle?   If you answered yes to these three questions, then this blog is for you!

The Journey to Success is not easy, believe me!  I have struggled and jumped over so many hurdles to get where I am in life. My learning disability is my strength, not my weakness. There is a stigma that those with special needs are weak and limited to their ability. I want to let you know there are #nolimits to what we can achieve!

Join me on this journey to success! I want to share with you, my personal stories of inspiration and motivation that helped me to overcome the challenges I have faced. Your special needs may be different than mine but you do not have to overcome the challenges alone. We are on this journey together!

Time To Get Emotional About It

One month down eleven more to go!  How is your new year going? 2017 has gotten off to a great start for me.  Despite a few setbacks in January, I am learning to overcome and embrace every challenge that comes my way.

Do not be defeated by challenges on your journey to success

I promised myself that this year I would focus more on being consistent. In the past, I have set ambitious goals like learning a new word a day and only lasting two weeks.  This year I wanted to be a part of the  8% that accomplish their goals.  That is why I decided to take a different approach to my New Year's resolution. I decided to make 2017 a year of consistency.

Being consistent is easier said than done. Over the last few weeks while working or studying   I found myself frustrated, sad, overwhelmed and stumped everytime I encountered a problem. Naturally, my instinct reaction would be to abandon ship and abort my mission, but this kind of thinking was not in alignment with my focus to be consistent in 2017.

Have you ever tried to make a positive change in your life and faced with challenges that can send you back to reverting to old habits?

This is a common dilemma we all face when trying to accomplish our goals. Rather than giving up, I realized I had to face my challenges head on. This forced me to get to the root of my problem and make an emotional connection.

As we enter the month of love I am challenging you to make some emotional connections too. Are feelings play a huge part in a success and well-being and they can be the roadblocks between who we are now and where we want to be.

Take chances, make mistakes. That’s how you grow. Pain nourishes your courage. You have to fail in order to practice being brave.

Emotions are healthy and sometimes we need to listen to whats is really going on the inside in order to change the outcome on the outside.  On your journey to success, you will encounter setbacks. When challenges arise  ask yourself these two questions:

1. What is the problem?
2. How does it make me feel?

There are #NoLimits to what you can achieve. Face your challenges head on and overcome all your setbacks. You are not alone on this journey.
